เรื่องที่ 2 การถามและใหขอมูล(Asking and Giving Information)

การเดินทางเราตองรูและเขาใจในการใชคําศัพทสํานวนภาษาอังกฤษเกี่ยวกับการเดินทาง เพื่อชวยในการถามและใหขอมูลดังนี้
1. การเดินทางโดยรถไฟ (By train) ประโยคภาษาอังกฤษเกี่ยวกับการเดินทางโดยรถไฟ มีดังนี้
          1. ใหผูเรียนฝกอานประโยคตอไปนี้พรอม ๆ กัน
                  

I want to buy a ticket for   Chiang Mai.  
                                      Chiang rai.
                                      Songkhla.
                                      Phuket.
          2. การถามราคาคาตั๋ว
How much is the one – way ticket?
What’s the prize of the round –trip ticket?
How much is the fare to New York?
          3. ถามวารถไฟขบวนที่เราจะเดินทางไป
3.1 Which train goes to             Tokyo?
                                             London?
                                             Bangkok?
                                             Chiang Mai?
3.2 Does this train go to
3.3 Which platform does the express train to    New York
                                                                   Chiang Mai         Stop ?
                                                                   Songkhla
                                                                   Phuket

          4. ถามเมื่อตองการทราบวาเมื่อไรรถไฟขบวนตอไปจะออก
When will the next express train leave?

          5. ถามวารถไฟจะมาถึง......เมื่อไร
                                                                             New York?
                                                                             London?
What time does the train arrive to Bangkok?                Chaing Mai?
                                                                             Phuket?
          6. ถามวา รถไฟจอดนานเทาไร
How long does the train stop?
          7. ถามวา ใชเวลานานเทาไรในการเดินทาง
How long does it take to get to           Phuket?
                                                         Chaing Mai?
                                                          Songkhla?
                                                          Bangkok?
                                                          Chaing Mai?

          8. ถาตองการลงรถไฟสถานีใด พูดดังนี้
I will get off at the next station

2. การบอกเสนทางโดยใชรถประจําทาง
- Take bus number 21. That’ll take you pass (บอกสถานที่) and then get off at ….. (สถานที่/สถานี/ปาย)

สํานวนที่นาสนใจเกี่ยวกับรถประจําทาง
take/catch/get on = ขึ้นรถ
get off =ลงรถ
- bus number 21/ a number 21 bus =รถเบอร 21 เมื่อใช bus numberจะไมมีarticle “a” นําหนาbus stop= ปายรถเมล
It will take you pass…………… บอกวา รถจะผานสถานที่ใดบาง

3. คําถามที่นิยมใชในการถามหาขอมูล มีดังนี้
คําศัพทสํานวนภาษาอังกฤษที่ใชในการถามเพื่อตองการทราบขอมูลตามสากลนิยม มีดังตอไปนี้
          1. ใชExcuse me. หรือPardon me. เปนการพูดสอดแทรกตามมารยาท แปลวา ขอโทษ หรือSorry to trouble you =ขอโทษที่มารบกวนคุณ นําหนาประโยคเพื่อถามหาขอมูล
          2. คําถามที่นิยมใชในการถามหาขอมูล มีดังนี้
          Could/ Would you please tell me if/whether
                    Please tell me        where/when/who/           + S. + V. + O.
                    Do you know         how/how long/Howfar      (ตามดวยรูปประโยคบอกเลา)
